Alerts, Reports, Export

To make it possible for you to use the information you gather in AMPEG Security Lighthouse externally, we supply you with "Alert", "Report" and "Export" functions that provide you with a series of options for generating information on-demand.

Alerting
Alerts allow you to specify warning messages that can be triggered automatically as soon as a defined security policy fails to be complied with. During a specified interval, a defined user group is notified as soon as a set percentage rate of computer systems in the network are rated as non-protected. Based on the alert, the recipients can introduce direct measures to equip the computer with the necessary protection.

Reporting
An option is available for sending regular reports by e-mail. They can either be sent to AMPEG Security Lighthouse users directly, or others who have no direct access to the system.

Example of a Report:
In the Report Manager you define a set of recipients who are to receive certain information at a specific point in time. For instance, the "Pattern Handicap by Location" report is sent to the European Manager each Monday at 8:00 A.M. This reports contains overviews of how many patterns the individual computer systems in Europe are behind target by (Handicap >=1). Since Mr. Smith only supervises critical systems at the site in Berlin, he only receives the report containing information on the systems there.

Exporting
Users assigned Export Manager rights via Role Management can have any list of contents from the Security Information Map sent to the e-mail address stored in the system at any time. The list export can then be forwarded to individual employees for further processing, or imported into existing Excel reports.

Example of an exported report:
You want to export a list of all production computers with a security handicap at your production site. Only those computer systems involved in production are extracted using the filter. Clicking on "Export" delivers the report to your e-mail address within the space of a few minutes.

Customer Voice

"We used to perform regular controls of our security applications by hand before we started working with AMPEG. The problem was that the amount of work involved in collecting and processing the data was very high, and errors occurred easily owing to the complexity of the task."
